The future of the digital Education in Europe
Start Date 01/09/2020
End Date 30/06/2021
Geographical Scope: EU Member States

The European Digital Learning Network pledges to carry out a pan-European survey to gather qualitative data about current trends and future developments in education related to digital skills. The pledge will take place between September 2020 – when the survey will be presented – and will continue until June 2021, when results will be collected, analysed and published in a final report, this until Dec, 2020.

Following the report, we'll start an informative campaign made of conferences, seminars, presence on social media, press article to mobilize the most we can from the Institutional level to the citizens and professional operators of the education sectors, this until Jun. 2021. The survey will tackle all educational sectors: School education, Vocational Education, Higher Education and Adult education with a lifelong learning approach. The target audience of the survey and the related awareness communication campaign will be all those organisations established in Europe - represented by their teachers, educators, education managers and staff in general - which would like to contribute with their opinion, expertise and knowledge to share their vision about the future of the digital education.

The survey and the related campaign will have a bottom-up approach, rather than a pure field research. The survey will allow to gather valuable information from those educational actors at local level which can see day-to-day the impact of digital transformation on people and their educational and professional experiences. It is expected that at least 5000 entries will be received. This research follows the 1th edition we run between 2017 and 2018 also awarded by a pledge and which gave an EU shaped vision of some trends, which nowadays in time of COVID-19, are being confirmed as absolutely necessary by the closest future. This research by the 2nd edition will become an EU barometer on the topic with regular new researches every 3 years. Please, read here the last pledged report http://dlearn.eu/activities/studies-and-reports/
