As a supporter of the Coalition and pledger, the University of Urbino has played a key role in introducing computational thinking into education through the self-paced coding MOOC, Coding in Your Classroom Now!. Their comprehensive approach, not only has trained 20,000 teachers, organised live coding events for 20,000 students, as well as coding classroom activities for 350,000 pupils but has looked beyond the initial impact of the pledge to ensure that the MOOC can be replicated and scaled across 27 other European countries.

Headstart Technologies was one of the many pledgers who responded to the call for pledges to support the immediate need for digital skills during the early stages of the COVID19 emergency. Headstart Technologies stepped up and saw the need to support teachers across Europe to get to grips with the digital skills required to continue effective learning through digital learning tools. Initially aimed at training 3,500, they overshot this goal and reached 5100 teachers.

Since the early stages of the pledges, Certiport has been an active and supportive participant. Within their first pledge they managed to certify over 85,000 beneficiaries in order to be able to demonstrate their digital skills and therefore facilitate their Access to the labour market. Certiport has since renewed and amplified their commitment extending their goals to certify over 250,000 beneficiaries focusing on reskilling and upskilling for all Europeans in basic digital skills. During the call for pledges to support the response to the COVID-19 crisis, Certiport rapidly responded by pledging to make their digital learning tools available to schools combined with training in their use for teachers.
