Our pledge is to keep the service available for users to sign up and make it available for National Coalitions and other partners to use and promote YouRock as a tool to identify digital skills in the labour force. It is a tool that could be further used by employment support agencies in the process of career advice and guidance. We pledge to reach 15,000 new users and connect with 20 National Collations by the end of 2018.We would welcome development partnerships and sponsorship to extend and widen its impact. The pledge also includes social media promotion of the Coalition, and any engaged National Coalitions.

YouRock

http://YouRock.Jobs is an online employability site allowing users to create dynamic skills personality profiles. It supports young people (target age range 16-30 ) with little or no work history, matching users everyday activities with work skills and describing them in the language of employers. The site was launched in 2014, and has run a promotional campaign since then on social media, reaching 10,000 users so far. It was a finalist in the 2014 EU Social Innovation Competition, and was a pledge to the previous Grand Coalition for Digital Jobs.

Qualitative Impact

• Users gain better insight into their “skills personality” by building a profile where their skills are identified from the everyday activities that they do. Not only can they use the service to identify their skills, but also build a profile with a portfolio, and full CV to support their employability;
• The system is also multi-lingual and allows a prospective employer to search profiles in any of the 18 languages thereby supporting mobility and cross-border recruitment;
• National coalitions and partners gain a tool which they can use and promote to end users, through campaigns or learning programmes thereby adding value to their relationship with those users;
• National coalitions and partners gain a connection with a dynamic social media campaign that could help their own visibility.
