Observatorio del Trabajo Sénior 45+

Observatorio del Trabajo Sénior 45+ is committed to promote the Digital Inclusion of elderly Europeans by:

  • Organising working groups made of  experts carrying out targeted lobbying actions to ensure the inclusion of Adult Learning Programs for Digital Skills in the Spanish Agenda 2017-20
  • Promote the allocation of funds to the reskilling of 45+.
  • Launching a public awareness raising campaign to reach out to more than 2.5 million 45+ people in Spain in 2017. This, to answer to the need of many 45+ people who suffer a large gap with the knowledge and skills requested by the labour market.
  • Launching a wide series of teaching programmes aimed at elderly people still in their working years, to boost their digital skills abilities and knowledge, to make them gain the competencies required by the jobs of today’s and near future’s society.

Observatorio del Trabajo Sénior 45+

Association that supports people over 45+ years of age who wish to continue working and that reminds institutions that the right to work is enshrined in the Spanish Constitution.

Qualitative Impact

Elderly people will be capable to use digital skills either in their working environments as in their private lives, ensuring their possibility to remain in the labour market and keeping up their will to contribute to the knowledge and progress of the Spanish society.

It is also expected to highly reduce the unemployment of the elderly people, nowadays quantified above 37% of total unemployment in Spain (far beyond the 27% of youth unemployment rate)

We develop a wide, comprehensive range of digital skills learning, tailored to the competencies required by, amongst other sectors, Services, Industry, Health and Commerce. A number of entities working in lifelong learning for adults will be involved in the programme.
Innovative solutions adapted to 45 learners, will allowing them to gain fast and easily the skills they need to access online and digital services.
