One of the Foundation’s mandates is to ‘contribute to the expansion of ICT educational programmes and related formative initiatives. In line with this mandate the Foundation recognizes the importance of reaching out to career guidance teachers and practitioners who are key influencers in study choices and career aspirations. The Foundation pledges to train 50 / 60 career advisors and guidance teachers coming from state, church and independent schools. The training will take form of informative seminars addressing particular digital skills issues. Through this training the Foundation will highlight the importance of digital skills for employability and the take up of ICT careers. This training will also help dismantle the existing barriers to further take –up of ICT studies. Training has commenced from October 2016.
