DigItaly is pledging to involve more than 8,000 municipalities, more than 6,000 schools and at least 2,000 companies in Italy in the period 2016-2018.

This, developing tools oriented to reduce the digital divide and encourage local development:

  • Online courses on ICT through an e-learning platform for high school students (15 - 19)
  • Free Wifi Hotspots
  • Web applications aimed at citizens that encourage local development by proximity marketing

Thanks to these technologies municipalities will be able to communicate with citizens, local companies to promote their business through web applications and proximity marketing; and young people to improve digital skills that will increase their employability.

Futuro Digitale works to strengthen the skills of young people through ICT and youth participation projects in small towns where we have our Office.

Qualitative Impact

The main purpose of DigItaly is to promote social innovation and digital culture using new technology in a conscious way to provide services to the community:
• Citizens will have an App available to get local information in real time and to request services from companies;
• Municipal administrations and associations will be able to communicate freely and directly and immediately with the citizens;
• Companies will be able to publish offers immediately reaching customers with coupons;
• Schools will be able to give access to their students to a path of Alternating School-Work, and, in general, to a conscious path of use of Digital with an increase / improvement of their skills.

400 students trained out of in ICT courses regarding "How to create: Hotspot Wi Fi, Web site, App for smartphone. At moment 6 workshops organized out of 10, involved 13 Municipalities and 4 Schools.
