AICA

AICA pledge is to foster Digital Skills training programmes and ICT internationally recognized Certification of Digital Literacy Competences, while supporting the dissemination of the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition and New Skills Agenda objectives and opportunities trough AICA DIGINET, the Italian network of about 2.500 primary and upper secondary schools, Science Museums, Fablabs, Vocational and Educational training institutions, Higher Education Institutions, SMEs, ICT professionals and general public.

During 2017, AICA wants to deliver around 50,000 ECDL Digital Skills certification training programmes to students, teachers and adult population, boosting the exchange of good practice and the collaboration among AICA DIGINET, across 20 Italian Regions, to give a concrete support with networking activities that are focused on the challenges outlined by the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition and New Skills Agenda regarding digital competence standards in the workforce, education and society.

We will attempt, from the beginning of 2017, to build partnerships and support AICA DIGINET network and the National Coalition partners in accessing financial resources from the New Skills Agenda and the European Social Fund to co-finance the activities.

AICA

AICA (Associazione Italiana per l'Informatica e il Calcolo Automatico) is the Italian Association for Computer Science and Automatic Calculation.

Qualitative Impact

• The diffusion and the improvement of digital skills, in compliance with the Italian Digital Agenda.

• The promotion of innovative learning and teaching materials which will contribute to improve school, VET and University curricula. This includes the new Digital Marketing EDCL module to enable Europe’s young entrepreneurs to “go digital” and take full advantage of e-commerce and digital services.

• Promoting cross-cutting cooperation activities among AICA DIGINET and strengthen the collaboration with other key partners of the National Coalition focusing on Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition and New Skills Agenda strategies.

• Delivering of ECDL training modules to encourage labour mobility thanks to European recognized competence certifications.
